1. CANDY was nominated for a Ghoema nomination in 2014 as “Newcomer Of The Year”
2. Her debute Album “Niks kan my keer nie” was released in June 2014 and was distributed all across the country to Musica and all other good music stores.
3. Her all new album “Onweerstaanbaar” was released in January 2017, and is available in all Musica and other good music stores, as well as on all digital platforms such as iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify etc.
4. Her new album “Onweerstaanbaar” was nominated for a Ghoema Award in April 2017 for Best Contemporary Album with Laurika Rauch and Riana Nel. She was also nominated by the public as the Public’s Favorite Female Artist, at the Ghoema Awards 2017.
5. At the tender age of 12 years old Candy was crowned Junior World Champion in the category “Rock” at the World Championship Of Performing Arts.
6. She has a Grade 6 qualification in music, UNISA and ALMSA.
7. After high school she gave vocal coaching classes for 2 years, but had to give it up due to her career just getting too busy.
8. She does a lot for charity and is an Ambassador for the Reach For A Dream Foundation, and believes that our Heavenly Father gave her a talent to help others.
9. Candy is currently doing an acting course with the well known Renier Weideman.

2. She will shortly be seen on the all new TV program Trippe, Trappe, Tone, as a guest judge for a new “ballroom” dancing competition on TV.

4. She also had an interview on the 18 th February with Pieter Koen on the popular TV program Jukebox (Kyknet Channel 146), where she discussed her new album, and released her new music video “Onweerstaanbaar”.

6. She also recently had an interview with Amor Vitone on the program called Skoon Pa Se Tong, on Kyknet.
7. She has had interviews on the following TV programs: Jukebox (KykNet), Sunrise (ETV), SABC Morning Live, Jacaranda FM’s Lekker Celeb program on Kyknet, Jam, Hectic 99 and Espresso SABC3. Sy was also part of the TopTV realiteit programme called SugaRushed, where she would write a song and they would compose and produce it on set.

She performs at all the huge festivals such as KKNK, Innibos, Aardklop etc. Corporate Functions, Casinos and places such as Upperdeck by Hartbeespoort Dam, Sun City Valley of the Waves etc. She has played the lead role in 3 local musicals.
